From Dc-qt
[edit] AboutDC-Qt is an application that aims to bring DC++ to both Linux and Mac OS X. It consists of a graphical user interface and a DC engine that runs in a seperate processes locally or remote. This DC engine process uses the lib that is provided by the DC++ application for Windows. This means that you will no longer get banned from hubs because you are running some client on linux that is not wanted on the hubs. This is because DC-Qt actually is DC++ but running in a different way on other operating systems. Hopefully this will make it easier for users running other platforms than Windows to be a part of the DC network. DC-Qt does not aim to implement all the features that are available for DC++ on Windows. Instead we want to provide a client that is accepted on all hubs and that provies a minimal but useful interface. If you have any problems, visit the forum.
